| I'm really a Mermaid - DIY starfish hair clips |
I actually made these over a year ago while I was still pregnant with Bowie, but I only just recently remembered to take a picture of them while they were in my hair.
Here's what you need:
| dried starfish, pearls and rhinestones, hair clips, tan felt, hot glue and gel superglue. |
| felt backs for starfish |
The first thing I did was trace my starfish on tan felt. The backs of starfish are really spiny and delicate. The felt is going to protect your hair from the spines and the spines from your hair.
| felt backs glued in place |
fill the backs of your starfish with hot glue and gently press your felt into it.
| bedazzled starfish |
next apply your pearls and stones to the tops of your starfish with gel superglue.
| starfish hair clips |
when your stones and pearls are all dried in place, flip your stars over and hot glue your clips on back.
| instant mermaid hair just add starfish |
omg. please sell me these along with a vial of your magicness.
