DIY flower crown tutorial

DIY flower crown tutorial
As people of the internet you have probably been seeing loads of whimsy pictures lately featuring pretty girls (often looking annoyed) rocking flower crowns.

here's how I made mine and Clementine's:
supplies: a spool of wire, some florist tape, scissors, and a few stems of silk flowers.

I started off by wrapping the wire around my head to make sure my crown was going to be the right size, then I bent the wire to form little hooks on each end. Instead of plucking the flower heads off, I cut them so they each had about two inches of stem attached to them.
I wrapped my wire with florist tape
once my wire was wrapped I pulled off smaller strips of tape so I could start adding the flowers
holding the stem of the flower to the wire with one hand I used my other hand to wrap the tape around it and pull it tight. Florist tape gets sticky as you stretch it, so you want to try and stretch it as much as you can without breaking it.
once I got about half way down my wire I flipped it around and added flowers the same way I did before only pointing in the opposite direction that way when I wore the crown all of the flowers wound be facing forward.
once all of my flowers were on I connected my two end hooks and wrapped them in florist tape.
a lavender one for me, and pink for my Clemmie buns
p.s. I'm a copper head again :)
ENJOY!
